Women in Tech Careers

Women in Tech? Female Technologist?

Hell yes.

Progress in tech with new career opportunities.

Join us (virtually) in October at the 3rd edition of Women in Business Expo.

The Tech landscape is changing.  We’ve seen it first-hand during the pandemic. These past 18 months, remote working combined with unified communications and collaborations propelled the shift to our new reality enabling businesses to survive.

Yet, gender diversity has remained stagnant in the last 10 years in tech.  At the senior level in the industry women hold only 16% of positions. And as you go higher into executive leadership and director roles, women hold just 10% of executive-level positions. (Entelo, 2018.)

It’s time women/women-identifying individuals are included in the conversation to drive further innovation in the industry forward. You deserve to be part of the conversation and to lead it!

Join us whether you are already in tech or want to enter the industry, across technical roles (e.g. developer, analyst, engineer, programmer, data scientist) or non-technical roles (e.g. sales/marketing/accounts director or manager).

About the event

The #1 virtual expo for women in tech, looking for recruitment, guidance, and upskilling to excel your career.

Women in Tech and Business Expo is focused on advancing female leadership, centering conversations on propelling diversity in the field, and creating new opportunities for those currently in tech, or breaking into it; across both technical and non-technical roles.

We partner and collaborate with companies, organisations, and leading professionals across the tech industry to create opportunities for diverse management teams and boardrooms.

A brilliant 2 days, so well organised a great line up. I thought I would miss seeing people in person, but actually I met lots of new people and was able to network. A great mix of speakers, exhibitors and attendees.

Mo

I wanted to attend Women in Business Expo as an opportunity to network with large employers. It worked tremendously well, and I now have a number of very large companies actively considering vacant roles for me.

I am amazed with everything I learned these last 2 days. It opened my mind to other opportunities, and I received tonnes of helpful advice about what I need to do to go forward in my career. Thank you so much.

Leadership & Technology through the lens of our engineers

Details: Wednesday 20th October, 12-1pm

Objective: To discuss the leadership and technology through real experiences of our engineers

Synopsis: In a changing world technology is taking a key role as part of our normal lives. During this round table you will hear from a number of Thales engineers who not only work with changing technology but in some cases have additional responsibilities as a leader of a team or business. You will have the opportunity to listen to their stories and ask questions on how they have achieved in their roles and what you should consider if you are looking to take a similar path in your engineering career.

Moderator/ Speakers: Alan Firmin, Head of HR & Talent, UK Engineering

Entry criteria: Women in engineering leadership and technology roles who may be looking for a new challenge in a growing engineering company.
